PLANNED GIVING
A planned gift
endures
well beyond
a lifetime.
It not only allows you to demonstrate your commitment to the theatre, but it also can be an important part of you and your family’s overall financial, philanthropic, and estate planning goals.
⎯
A planned gift may be as simple as naming the Spartanburg Little Theatre as a beneficiary of your 401(k), IRA, pension fund, will, or trust.
The Spartanburg Little Theatre is committed to good stewardship of your planned gift. All planned gifts will be added to the theatre’s operating fund unless otherwise specified by the donor.
WAYS TO GIVE
-
A convenient and flexible giving option, DAFs offer significant tax benefits while allowing you to support your favorite nonprofits, like SLT. These funds are managed through financial services companies or community foundations, making it easier than ever to make impactful contributions.
-
If you are 70½ years or older, a QCD allows you to make direct transfers of funds from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) without counting the distribution as taxable income. This can be an advantageous tool for those who are required to take minimum distributions from their IRAs.
-
Donating appreciated stock can yield numerous benefits. Not only do you potentially avoid capital gains taxes, but you also get a charitable income tax deduction for the market value of your stock. Your generous stock gifts will be put to immediate use, supporting the vibrant productions and community programs at SLT.
-
Consider including the Spartanburg Little Theatre as a beneficiary in your will, trust, or retirement plans. This type of planned gift can result in a larger impact than you might have imagined, providing crucial resources for SLT’s future.
-
Many employers offer matching gift programs, doubling the impact of your donation. Check with your employer to see if they participate, and make your generosity go even further.
